Extension 711 Service Service Not Active is an On Screen Display Message that usually appears when a receiver is not activated.

  1. Verify Card is Active.
  2. Verify Services are Active.
  3. Confirm Access Card Number.
  4. Resend All Authorizations once.
  5. Reset Receiver.
  6. Resend All Authorizations.

The next steps can only be done on directv's systems

7. Disconnect and Reconnect Access Card.

They will check to make sure that your access card is the right version

8. If Resending Authorizations doesn't resolve, they will Resend All Authorizations up to 5 times and wait 10 seconds between commands.
9. If Resending Authorizations up to 5 times doesn't work, they will Offer Service Call.
